[Appearance]
Summary: A gray tom with a with very long logs and an extremely feathered tail. His front right paw is white and his eyes are dark sea-green.
Eyes: His eyes are a deep green-blue color, almost sea-green, with a light burst of color just around his pupil. His glance is almost always alert and attentive, with an intensity that makes him appear stern and unapproachable, though that is not the case. His gaze seems serious and almost intimidating at first, but they are actually very gentle and understanding with a rather wise look within them.
Pelt: His pelt is a deep gray with a variety of lighter shades twisting and curling over his body like fog. His front left foot is white but the rest of him is all gray. The fur on his single layered coat is very long and very sleek with a glossy look to it; at least when it's well groomed and not covered in bits of herbs. However nice his pelt initially seems, it is actually not managed as often as it should, due to the tom's work loud. The fur along his back is always sticking up and ruffled, which often makes him appear as if he is always bristling, but a second careful glance will inform a feline that it is simply unmanageable fur. And that happens because of his sleeping habit and his constant scratching.
Built: This is a remarkably tall tom, though his overall size is not as intimidating as it first may seem. Other than his remarkable height there is nothing spectacular about this tom's physique. There is very little bulk on him whatsoever, though he does have lean muscles which is plenty enough for him to get the job done. Even his fur doesn't help hide his thin figure, which looks almost malnourished. His pelt clings to his slender body and long legs. His tail is average size but heavily feathered. He is built for speed and endurance.
[Personality]
Fears: It seems there is nothing that he fears but that is a lie and the whole clan knows his fear, which he is often teased for. He is terrified of insects of all kinds, which is very unfortunate since he deals with herbs. He will often bolt out of his den with wide eyes and a bristled pelt, which compels someone from the clan to take the role of "exterminator".
Goals: As a Medicine Cat most would think that he has no goals, but in truth he has a great deal of them. The loses that he feels compels him to try harder and seek a wide range of healing. He is always looking for answers and methods to save and improve as many lives as possible.
Likes: He loves getting a thrill and even as a matured Medicine Cat he will sometimes seek out some sort of adventure. He loves swimming and diving more than anything but traveling is a close second. He loves his job and he loves his life. He loves Green Leaf the most but there is no time of day he doesn't like. His favorite prey are bigger "red" fish, like salmon, but he still enjoys eating "white" fish as well.
Dislikes: He hates it when there is nothing to do, but thankfully he's usually too busy to ever experience that... however the same thing day in and day out can get under his fur. He hates insects and he freaks out quite a bit over them. Oddly enough he also doesn't care for rain so much. He hates Leaf Bare since he doesn't handle the cold very well at all. As far as freshkill goes he actually hates eating crustaceans and amphibians.
General: Though he's level headed tom with a mature disposition, he still takes risks and chances every now and then with seemingly no fear in the world. He's an easy going cat most of the time but if he's upset he comes across like a sulking apprentice. He loves to play and hates being stuck in camp for too long. He doesn't usually lose his temper with a clanmate and is very good natured and understanding. He is open to change and will even seek it out if it means the greater good for his and the other clans.
[History]
Background: His mother was a beautiful but rash Warrior who had a bit of a prickly attitude, but deep down she was sensitive and inquisitive. Only Foglight was able to see past her snappy personality and he got to know her more for the true she-cat she was. It was like a battle between the two cats, mostly because Streamstripe was much like a pike; touchy and aggressive and not afraid to fight. But in time Foglight's patience and persistence was well rewarded and his new mate was often seen given her tom affection.
Kithood: Shark-kit was born with only one other sibling, but no cat was bothered with that, since there was plenty in the Nursery at the time. Foglight felt awkward around his kits and usually didn't stay long, always finding an excuse. He wasn't a bad father, just uncertain and uneasy, and surprisingly his mate was very patient with him. However, it wasn't long until Streamstripe grew very agitated and restless with her time constantly spent in the Nursery. She loved her kits deeply and she always played with them, but she couldn't help longing for her Warrior duties. Finally she decided to go out and she even joined a patrol... but she was always a reckless and headstrong feline. A fox appeared and she was the first to attack it. The battle was fierce and the injuries she suffered were severe... she died in the Medicine Den a few days later.
Apprenticeship: Foglight took a bigger role as father and became very close with his kits and he was delighted and proud the day they became apprentices. Sharkpaw was a very rebellious and headstrong apprentice, much as his mother was, and he would always question everything. His apprentice was usually at her wits end and she struggled to keep his attention. Sharkpaw became close friends with the other apprentices and he was a bad influence to them, which meant that they frequently misbehaved and even broke the Warrior code on occasion. It took his mentor losing her temper to get him to finally behave.
Warrior moons: Not two moons after his mentor snapped, did he finally pick up his paws and really surprise the clan. He was made a Warrior sooner than they would have thought, especially given how many times he had gotten in trouble. However, even as a Warrior he and his friends who often cause a bit of mayhem. It was nothing against the Warrior code, but it was reckless and often dangerous. A game Sharkdive had invented was called "Cliff Diving", where they would climb the edge of a cliff as high as they dared and dived into the sea. One time, Sharkdive went higher than anyone and when he dove a powerful wind hit him and sent him to shallower waters. When he crashed through the waves, he ended up getting impaled by a cluster of sea urchins and nearly drowned. He was saved by his friends who immediately brought him to the medicine den. Bayleaf had a difficult time pulling out all the spines and Sharkdive went through a great deal of pain. As he healed and recovered he was forced to remain in the Medicine Den and he learned a great deal while in there and became fascinated with their Medicine Cat who often spoke to herself and cursed Starclan.
Medicine Apprenticeship: The clan was surprised when he bowed his head to Bayleaf and begged to be her apprentice. At first she had refused and Sharkdive spent a great deal of time trying to convince her, which included him helping in her duties even when she constantly told him to jump off a cliff. Eventually he became the Medicine Cat apprentice at 14 moons old, though Bayleaf didn't actually accept him; it was more like a silent agreement, which slowly happened over time. Sharkdive was completely absorbed in his studies and became an excellent Medicine Cat Apprentice, much to everyone's surprise. As the moons past he mellowed out and became more reasonable and something like the voice of reason. He grew to be wise and insightful, though he still holds a bit of his mischievous nature.
As a Medicine Cat: While out gathering herbs a tragic accident happened... Bayleaf fell from a cliff and landed in the sea. Sharkdive instantly went after her, and it seemed that only Starclan could have protected them from death that day. Sharkdive was able to save his mentor but he was horrified to see no spark in her gaze... and he realized with a sickened heart that the water had stolen her mind. With a heavy heart he saw to it that Bayleaf retired and he went to receive his blessings from Starclan, so that he may become a true Medicine Cat. Eight long moons have passed since that day and Sharkdive has done well for himself and he constantly visits Bayleaf.
[Other]
Social Standings/Skill: He was known as a troublemaker when he was younger but he has since then became a rather wise tom who almost always has good advice to share. More than anything he can still be very fun to be around, if one can get past his somewhat intimidating appearance. He is very brave and very fast, with seemingly unending endurance and a sharp eye.
Voice: His voice is deep yet soothing, like the gentle but strong rolling waves which lap at the wind and tug at the shores. His tone is lively despite his tendency to speak with slow and relaxed mews. When angered or bothered in any way his tone turns crisp and cold but nothing worse than that.
Scent: His scent is as fishy as any Riverclan cat, yet unlike most cats his is constantly changing. He can smell like fish, or tide, or herbs, or a variety of combinations. Sometimes he may even smell like frost or dew or even like the forest. It's easy to guess that the reason for it is because he is a medicine cat.
Origin: His name is one that just come out of the blue.
Note: *Despite how much there is, the profile will still experience change over time~ Chocolate~
[RP Sample]
A young gray tom glanced around as he padded out of camp and along the sea's shores, closely followed by a few other apprentices. Filled with more confidence he began to race along the beach, his tale streaming behind him as his fellow clanmates joined in the chase. He glanced at them and felt himself warm with the compassion he felt toward his comrades.
He quickly lead the way to a rocky ledge and started to leap over the step-like edges, getting closer and closer to the grassy fields. It was a bit of a longer detour but it was fun! And he found himself very pleased that he suggested it! Fishing in the Sea inlet was bound to be excited and worthwhile!
Sharkpaw was the first to reach the stream's edge, which wasn't all that surprising given his long legs and lean body. He grinned as his friends joined him and they rested lazily in the rising sun, pawing playfully at the grass, but it wasn't long until they grew restless once more.
This time it was one of his friends who took the ledge onto a small island of stones. He and the other apprentices quickly followed him and waded into the shallower waters. They than each looked at each other before they began in their little game.
With loud mewls of excitement they splashed about, pouncing on the little young fish, before hooking them out of the water and flinging them in the sky. Some crashed back into the water, or bounced off the rocks, but there were also some who were caught right from the air by another apprentice.
Sharkpaw flung a little fish and watched, impressed, as another young tom captured it and swallowed it before he even landed. He waved his tail, feeling exhilarated... but it seemed to have ended all too soon.
Just as another fish was thrown in the air a large figure flashed through the sky and grabbed it. All the apprentices grew silent when a Warrior landed on the rocks, holding a little fish by it's tail. Sharkpaw recognized his Mentor right away and felt his blood drain. He swallowed as she carefully placed the fish back in the water and fix the apprentices with a furious glare.
"I-it was my idea!" Sharkpaw declared and with slightly shaking legs he surged out of the water to stand before the calico. "But we made sure that all the Queens, kits and Elders were fed! We're just-" But he wasn't able to finish. Firewave raised her paw and slammed it against her apprentice's face, sending him crashing into the water.
Sharkpaw broke through the surface and coughed out some water before glancing at his mentor with wide eyes. He... he never thought that she would ever hit him... but looking at her livid expression he knew she was far from finished with him. He lowered his head and ears and waited for what would come next. Little did he know then that she was more frightened at the thought of almost losing him then she was angry with him.
